I can't believe that there is just one more full week until our short Thanksgiving week! We will have homework this week but not next week, although I will send home a packet of activities your child can do if you want. I won't need any of them back.
We are working on the words narrow, alert, whisk, scamper, broad, describe, and active. To help your child remember these words you might want to use them as often as you can with your child.
In Phonics we are studying "f" and "r." On Thursday I will send home another of the little books for your child to read called, "Frog Runs."
In Math we are practicing one-to-one correspondence up to ten. Basically this is counting objects and making sure only one number is said with each object. We are also counting objects and figuring out what "one more" would be. This is the beginning of adding. This would be an easy thing to have your child practice at home.
We are talking about the seasons and practicing the order. A good thing to ask your child is what comes after or before a certain season.
Thank you for all your help in helping your child practice his/her skills.
