We are halfway through our full week and the students are doing well! They are starting to remember how to follow all the rules again. (We lost ground after having been gone so much!)
I was telling the students today that it was a yellow air day and that tomorrow would be a red air day. It is funny how I can say things and not realize that they really don't know what that means. I had to explain that it means the air is getting dirty but it won't look yellow or red.
Our other vocabulary word is snare.
Today in math we worked on weight (heavier/lighter). The kids really had fun finding things in the class and finding out which was heavier and which was lighter. I want your kids to LOVE math as much as reading so I am thrilled when they have so much fun with what we do.
I will be gone on Friday in order to go to a couple of doctor appointments (nothing serious) so Mrs. Lemon will be our substitute. Because of that we won't get to have math rotations but there are some fun activities she will be doing about "Three Billy Goats Gruff" with the students in place of the rotations.
