Monday again...

So, it is Monday again...but this is a unique Monday because it is the Monday in a FULL week of school! (That shouldn't be unique but we haven't had many full weeks.)

Today in math we continued on with longest, shortest, middle. We also worked on numbers. We are beginning to work with numbers all the way up to 20! We need to be able to recognize, count, and write numbers up to 30 by the end of the school year.

We also finally got to go to library today! Yipee! We haven't been able to go much lately.

New vocabulary words were learned: unlikely, pounce, perilous, nestle and one other word which escapes me at the moment. I will have to look when I get back to school tomorrow and get back to you on it.

We finished up "e" in phonics and now we are on to "y" for the rest of the week.

Be sure to have your children study their spelling words! This weeks words are: of, four, and from. The word "four" we have a little sentence to help us remember how the end of the word is spelled...Oh, you are 4! (We couldn't fit the f into the sentence, but that part of the word is easy.)

I am REALLY sorry to the afternoon kids because I forgot to send home the homework sheet last week. I did send this week's home today.

Have a wonderful week!
