So, what is going to happen next week when we are actually at school for five days? Hopefully, we will get everything done for the week and finally get back to a schedule...although your children may get really tired by the end of the week!
As far as this week goes, we are working on the letter "e." When we write "e" we start with the line that goes straight out and then the rest is just like making a "c." We are working on getting a nice sharp nose on the "e" and to keep it between the middle and bottom lines.
Two of our current vocabulary words are bare (The trees are bare of leaves.) and amble (I ambled down the path.).
In math we are comparing the sizes of objects. Some of the math words we are working on are small, smaller, smallest, large, larger, largest, and medium.
Finally, if you want you can practice our addition doubles chant with your child: "1 plus 1 is 2, phew!, 2 plus 2 is 4, score!, 3 plus 3 is 6, kicks!, 4 plus 4 is 8, great!, 5 plus 5 is 10, the end!"
